I'll be honest, as much as I talk about packing lunches, I am grateful that this year my teenager is doing the rest of high school online, and I never have to pack a lunch again.
Well, except my own.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation's Healthy Check program has a wonderful campaign going on right now, called Eat Well and Win. Between now and September 9, 2011 you can enter to win $1000 worth of grocery gift cards (you get to pick the store). Also, each day you can win a gift pack valued at $50. The gift packs can contain things like cookbooks, knapsacks, lunch bags, and water bottles. You can even tweet about it with a hashtag #eatwell&win ! Whee! Parents across the country are signing up and telling the world about their best lunch tips. Go get some inspiration!
You are allowed one entry per day, per email address. There will be one person chosen per province to win $1000 in grocery gift cards, so get entering! You are asked to create a profile, so it does take a little work on your part.
But it doesn't end there, you know. Oh no. You can also win something HERE.
See this great basket? You can win it. Inside is a new cookbook by Anne Lindsay, an apron, and a lunch bag. I'd love to just win the cookbook, since I have one of Anne's books already and I quite like it. You don't even have to do much. Just leave me a comment, every day if you wish, between now and September 2nd. Make sure to leave me a way to contact you!
Also, watch this video with these two great kids talking about home made lunches. I LOVE it.

Contest is open to Canadians who have reached the age of majority, and who have a Canadian mailing address. You may enter by leaving me a comment on this post once a day up until midnight PST, Sept 2nd. I will pick the winner by random and contact you via email or twitter.
Disclosure: I have not received anything from the Heart and Stroke Foundation to run this giveaway. The prize is being shipped straight from them to the winner.
