Want to be Featured in an Article?
Every week, I create meal plans for an article over at Everything Mom. At one time, I created all five meals myself, but that was killing me (and our grocery budget!) so I now scour the internets for people who have great recipes to share. It's a great deal, really. All I do is write a little blurb, set up links to your site, and send ALL the traffic to you.
Does that sound like you?
Here's the criteria to have your recipe featured:
1. It has to be a main dish. Can be vegetarian, gluten/dairy/nut free. Special diet dinners are welcome because it adds variety to the article. (and in my house, we have special diets too!) You may have a main dish AND a side dish to go with it-in fact, I'd encourage that. More traffic for you, more variety for the article!
2. The recipe has to be published online, on your blog/site. The recipe has to have proper credit if you used other sources. I check them!
3. You must have a picture that I can use in the article. They entice people to click over to your site-if you have a main AND side dish, just one picture of either is fine. I can't use the html from Flickr, I have to actually download it. I delete them after I've used them in the article. The picture needs to be 240 x 180.
4. Some recipes may make it into the article, some may not. It really depends on the theme of the week, whether or not I think the readers will like it, etc. Some are a better fit than others.
This is a great way for you to have more traffic sent to your site, and to share your favorite recipes with the world! Email me at notesfromthecookiejar (at) yahoo(dot) ca with all your links and information, and I'll be thrilled to slot you in. Currently, I'm looking for some great recipes for American Thanksgiving, and if you have any delicious dishes for December, I'd be thrilled.
